Check your iPhone's iOS version

How to see your iPhone's exact iOS version and build number. This decides which IPA install methods you can use.

Every install method supports only certain iOS versions. TrollStore in particular only works on a few older versions, so you need to know your exact version.

  1. Open About

    Open Settings, tap General, then About.

  2. Read the iOS version

    Look at iOS Version (called Software Version on older iOS), for example 17.0 or 16.6.1.

    Tap it to see the build number in brackets, for example (20H18). The build number tells a release candidate (RC) apart from the final release.
